November is all about being thankful and gathering together with friends and family. Grab the ones you love and join us for a special scotch tasting on Friday, November 15, 2019, featuring limited-time offerings and small-batch scotches from some of our favorite brands. Whether it’s date night, a night out with friends, or a way to entertain family from out of town, this is one tasting you are not going to want to miss.
Scotch whisky has a long-standing history and must be made in a manner specified by law. All Scotch whisky must be aged in oak barrels for at least three years. Any age statement on a bottle of Scotch whisky, expressed in numerical form, must reflect the age of the youngest whisky used to produce that product.
Why whisky, not whiskey? The Scots spell it whisky and the Irish spell it whiskey, with an extra ‘e’. This difference in the spelling comes from the translations of the word from the Scottish and Irish Gaelic forms. Whiskey with the extra ‘e’ is also used when referring to American whiskies. This ‘e’ was taken to the United States by the Irish immigrants in the 1700s and has been used ever since. Freshen up on your knowledge of whisky before the tasting at WhiskyForEveryone.com and be sure to bring with you any questions you have about the distilling process, the name, or anything else you have on your mind about this delicious libation.
Join us on Friday, November 15, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. for an evening of fun and exploration with Scotch whisky. Tickets are $35 per person and include tax and gratuity. Your ticket purchase includes four exclusive tastings of the scotches listed below, one signature cocktail, and hors d’ oeuvres.
