During this interactive, educational, and entertaining tasting workshop, we will play with three single varietal wines made from some of the top red varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec) to create different “Bordeaux style blend”, referencing the red blends produced in this world-famous wine region.
Each participant will be getting a wine package of three bottles of each wine, as well as a beaker and a tasting profile for every single varietal. Laure Levesque will give participants key information and tools to approach blending in an ‘educated way’ and better understand the aim of it, do’s/don’ts, as well as what each varietal brings to the blend. She will also talk about wine and food pairing, and how certain types of blends can better complement certain types of food.
Participants will be invited to continue this unique and playful experience by creating their original blends. Each “team” will be asked to submit their favorite blend to a judging panel who will announce the winning blend at the end of the workshop.
